KUALA LUMPUR, 7 October 2021: A total of 209,907 COVID-19 vaccines were administered nationwide as of yesterday.
88.8 per cent of the adult population in Malaysia have been fully vaccinated resulting in 1.2 percentage points short of the targeted 90 per cent.
According to the Ministry of Health data on the COVIDNOW portal, at least one dose of the vaccine was dispensed to 94.6 per cent or 22,135,242 individuals of the adult population, while complete doses were fully received by a total of 129,152 or 41 per cent of adolescents aged between 12 and 17.
Of total doses distributed yesterday, 113,441 recieved their first dose of two-dose vaccine while 96,466 have completed their vaccination dosage, adding up to 24,007,832 of doses regulated under the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).
Meanwhile, two people succumbed to the virus yesterday bringing the death toll to 26,981.***
