GOMBAK, 9 December 2020: As of noon today, Malaysia has recorded a total of 959 new cases of COVID-19 in which six are imported whereas the remaining 953 are local cases.
A total of 1,068 patients made recovery bringing a total of 65,124 cured cases.
There are currently 10,748 active cases with four new clusters being reported today, which are Kupi-Kupi cluster, Bandar Impian cluster, Jalan Kemang Cluster and Tapak Bina Ikon Bintang cluster.
This brings the total number of clusters recorded to 396.
211 clusters have been terminated, including four clusters that ended today, namely Gala cluster, Harmoni cluster, Mahkota cluster and Bah Kenangan cluster.
Selangor once again recorded the highest number of cases with 277 new cases, followed by Sabah with 203 new cases, Kuala Lumpur with 129 new cases, Pahang with 119 new cases and Johor with 100 new cases.
In addition to that, five new fatalities were recorded today along with 127 cases that are treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) and 61 cases that are in need of respiratory aids.
This brings the death toll to a total of 393 deaths.***
