GOMBAK, 18 October 2019 – A humanitarian mission, SRN Global Leadership Programme (Jalinan Ukhwah Filipina), to help the people of Tandang Sora Avenue, Barangay Culiat, Quezon City Metro Manila, the Philippines, is short of funds.

In order to carry out the programme, RM11.9K is required to finance their mission and yet the funding is still short of RM3K. Eight volunteers from Sekretariat Rukun Negara (SRN) will be partaking in the programme.

SRN therefore welcomes any form of help from the IIUM campus community to achieve the targeted amount of donation.

This programme intends to equip participants with basic survival skills, including networking skill with potential people, and develop high self-esteem in spreading Islam to the other community.

It is also aimed to know the current condition and the implementation of education at the country.

This programme serves as a great platform to promote the value of education, development, culture, medical, and Islamisation at the chosen country.

Their main vision is to alleviate and ease the burden of Filipinos, in the meantime, to expose the children to uniqueness of Islam as Philippines is one of the countries with minor Muslim population.

Volunteers will depart for the Philippines on 24 October and are expected to return to Kuala Lumpur on 2 November.
