GOMBAK, 24 July 2019: “The whole idea of Takrim Day this year is to celebrate togetherness in terms of our success,” Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak said today.

“The university also tried to give awards to as many staff as possible to recognise their effort so they can work as a team,” the Rector added.

Takrim Day 2019 focused on participation where everybody could work together towards the development of the university. “It is also the time where the staff can demonstrate what they have contribute to the university,” he said.

Takrim Day (or previously known as Quality day) started on 22 July (Monday) and ended on Wednesday (24 July) with the award giving ceremony.

Asked on the change from Quality Day to Takrim Day, Tan Sri Dzulkifli said, “Quality only focuses on quality and not participation. While Takrim focuses on quality in the context of participation.”

“Quality is not quality when people do not work together,” he pointed out.

He also described the whole event as lively as it brought people together and everyone was able to contribute something to celebrate the event. ***
