GOMBAK, 1 November 2017 – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and TV AlHijrah on Monday (30 October) paving the way for cooperation between the two parties.
Under the MoU, both sides would benefit from the smart partnership in terms of knowledge sharing, content development and industry cooperation where IIUM students and staffs would also have the opportunity to gain practical experience in broadcasting with the television station.
IIUM Rector, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamarudin, signed the MoU representing IIUM while TV AlHijrah was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Hj. Izelan Basar, in a ceremony that took place at AlHijrah Big Studio in Cyberjaya.
The MoUÂ would also expose students to hands on experience with Multimedia Broadcasting Company which would not only benefit the parties involved in the MoU but also allow the media sector to prosper indirectly benefiting the society and ummah as a whole.
The MoU was designed to provide a channel which would allow experts from both parties involved to collaborate in generating critical educational contents.
The content creators of TV AlHijrah could refer to the academic staff of IIUM, known for their reputation as researchers as well as experts in the field of Islamic related studies, when creating Islamic contents to be shown on TV AlHijrah in the future. ***
