After intensive and heated debating rounds, the participants finally reached the conclusion with two teams emerged brighter than the others. The motion for the final round was on the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) beneficial for the nation and the winner was from proposition team.

The club provides weekly debate classes that are open to all students, especially to those who are interested in honing their skills as Arabic debaters. Through debates students are able to improve and develop their self-confidence to converse in Arabic.

Thus, by organising the Arabic Debate League Competition, the club hopes to train and expose students to both debating skills and Arabic language, and also to provide the platform by enhancing and developing students’ skills in speaking fluent Arabic.

To continue its legacy, the club will always open the door to all members of IIUM community to enhance their soft skills through Arabic debating and public speaking activities.***
