THE religious orders in certain quarters of Myanmar believe that a general election on Nov 8 this year will bring progress to the country. Many Myanmar people are numerologists who trust in numbers. This is one reason they printed 45 kyats (Myanmars currency pronounced œchat) and 90 kyats. These were printed because of Myanmar leader Ne Wins predilection for numerology and the number nine.
