URGING the prime minister to reconvene Parliament for a special one-day sitting to elect a new Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman makes good sense if the government is to end the attacks against it. It will, once and for all, end the allegations that promoting four members of the committee to the cabinet was the PMs attempt to sabotage PACs investigation into the apparent mismanagement of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), the state strategic investment company.
