I wish to support his timely proposal to introduce firmer regulations to curb online racist, religious and libellous remarks that can cause social dissatisfaction, distress and public unrest. The recent Plaza Low Yats theft incident would not have been blown out of all proportion into almost a racial riot, if not for the abuse of the social media by irresponsible elements.
