˜Petrobras overpaid US$1.2b

BRASILIA: Petrobras may have overpaid as much as US$1.2 billion (RM3.99 billion) in transactions being investigated for potential kickbacks, Brazils national accounting office said on Tuesday. œWe have demonstrated that there was overbilling (at the) Pasadena (refinery). And we found evidence this happened with other major projects, all of which were worth a total of almost US$1.2 billion, said Augusto Nardes, head of the governments accounting arm, known as the TCU. The Pasadena refinery case alone cost Petrobras US$317 million, Nardes said. AFP
