17 December 2025: The third series of Gombak Food Festival (GFF 3.0) will make its return this 6 and 7 January 2026, bringing together food, community engagement and inclusive entrepreneurship at the Human Science Building, IIUM Gombak, from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm.

GFF 3.0 carries the theme of “COMMic: Serving Stories, Spreading Smiles”, reflects the belief that food is more than just a product.

Programme Manager, Sr. Nik Faqihah said, “Through COMMic, we aim to use food and communication as tools to bring people together, spread joy and strengthen community bonds.”

The festival will feature 10 local vendors from Kampung Kerdas Gombak, which includes the organisations involved with Persons with Disabilities (PWD), highlighting the organisers’ commitment to nurturing an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting local livelihoods.

In addition to the food festival, International Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Seminar will be held in the evening via an online platform, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in integrated marketing communication from a Tauhidic epistemology perspective.

GFF 3.0 will be implemented in four phases—awareness, engagement, during-event and post-event. The organisers have also secured media partnerships with IIUMTV, IIUMFM, IIUMToday and the IPRMSA-IIUM Chapter to support event promotion and announcements throughout these phases.

The programme has also received sponsorship support from the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) and IIUM Holdings, whose contributions will be recognised through logo placements and mentions during the event.

With its focus on local empowerment, inclusivity and strategic communication, GFF 3.0 is expected to serve as a platform that connects food, community and social responsibility in a meaningful way.***
