This is true of the disappearance of seven Orang Asli pupils from SK Pos Tohoi in Gua Musang, who were reported missing on Aug 23. The youngsters, comprising six girls and a boy aged between 7 and 11, had fled their school hostel into the Balah forest reserve, thinking they would be punished for bathing in a nearby river without permission. The mystery surrounding the sad incident is baffling, to say the least. It began to unravel with the discovery of the remains of four pupils, while two were found alive not far from Pos Tohoi. One more child remains unaccounted for. The joy of finding the two children alive is tempered with anger.
