AS Muslims celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri on Friday, lets spare a thought for the villagers in the east coast, particularly in Manek Urai and Felda Aring, who do not have proper roofs over their heads. Some of them are still living in tents and some in makeshift huts they now call home while waiting for donors and the authorities to help rebuild their lives, six months after a major flood ravaged their homes and villages. In the aftermath of the floods, some of them salvaged discarded pieces of wood and built makeshift walls for shelter. But with all their belongings lost in one of the nations major disasters, it is difficult for them to stand on their feet without the help of third parties.<\/p>\n
