GOMBAK 9th May: It is now official. The Kulliyyah of Education has replaced the Institute of Education (INSTEC). Kuliyyah of Education officially announced the change of name as granted by IIUM Majlis and Ministry of Education.
\nThe decision for the change as granted by IIUM Majlis and the Ministry of Education was made after a meeting with Ministry of Education officials on February 20th, 2014. This change is made to recognize it as one of the official kuliyyahs of IIUM and for the Kuliyyah to be at par as other education faculties in the country.
\nA three in one event was held at the Main Auditorium with another two events which are the Closing Ceremony of Silver Jubilee (1987-2012) and the celebration of this years Teachers Day.
\nDeputy Rector of Student Affairs, Prof. Datuk Dr. Mizan Hitam, attended the event by reciting some poems about the event. \u0153You have waited patiently for 25 years to be granted this status. Alhamdulillah, you received recognition of your achievement ,\u009d Prof. Mizan said
\nAt the end of the event, the lecturers and soon-to-be teachers sang the Teachers Day song. IIUM community hope that KOED would become even more successful and would produce high quality academicians.<\/p>\n
