{"id":432,"date":"2014-03-03T22:31:20","date_gmt":"2014-03-03T14:31:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iiumtoday.fadhilahwahid.com\/?p=432"},"modified":"2014-04-29T15:16:40","modified_gmt":"2014-04-29T07:16:40","slug":"i-taleem-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=432","title":{"rendered":"i-Ta&#8217;leem Launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<div title=\"Page 4\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The Innovative Teaching and Learning Environment System, also known as i-Taleem, was also launched last Friday in conjunction with the launch of the Islamisation Policies and Guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>A project spearheaded by Professor Tahir, iTaleem is the new e-learning platform for IIUM students and staff, one that is in line with the National E-learning Policy (N.E.P.).<\/p>\n<p>The N.E.P. requires that all public universities adopt a Web 2.0 enabled Learning Management System (LMS).<\/p>\n<p>Some of the main features of i-Taleem include an online chat system, a forum, the ability to host online quizzes and assignments, and even Youtube, Dropbox, and Google Drive integration.<\/p>\n<p>According to Professor Tahir, the i-Taleem trainers are ready to begin teaching the system to all IIUM Staff.<\/p>\n<p>The i-Taleem clinics begin today and will last for the entire semester.
