{"id":35102,"date":"2014-10-29T21:24:16","date_gmt":"2014-10-29T13:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=35102"},"modified":"2014-10-29T21:45:07","modified_gmt":"2014-10-29T13:45:07","slug":"inter-varsity-arabic-debating-championship-to-create-awareness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=35102","title":{"rendered":"Inter-varsity Arabic debating championship to create awareness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>By Izzud deen Redzuan<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>GOMBAK, 28 October 2014: This year&#8217;s \u00c2\u00a0Ma&#8217;al Hijrah Inter-varsity Arabic Debating Championship\u00c2\u00a0<span style=\"color: #141823\">will be held at the <span style=\"color: #545454\">Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design\u00c2\u00a0<\/span>here from 31 October until 3 November to enhance their skills of Arabic language and public speaking among debaters, and to improve on their performances.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This championship is also aimed at creating<span style=\"color: #141823\"> awareness among youths on the socio-economic issues affecting the world and Muslim countries respectively using debates as the medium.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #141823\">O<\/span><span style=\"color: #141823\">rganised by IIUM in collaboration with the\u00c2\u00a0<\/span>Arabic Debating and\u00c2\u00a0Public Speaking Club, this debating championship is expected to display grandeur like the previous championship that have been successfully organised.<\/p>\n<p>The event\u00c2\u00a0will feature about\u00c2\u00a072 debaters, 18 teams, and 11 institutions across the region.
