{"id":33405,"date":"2014-10-23T09:52:30","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T01:52:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=33405"},"modified":"2014-10-22T23:54:03","modified_gmt":"2014-10-22T15:54:03","slug":"student-convention-discusses-dr-ms-ideas-and-thoughts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=33405","title":{"rendered":"Student convention discusses Dr. M&#8217;s ideas and thoughts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By<\/em> Wan Ahmad Khairi Wan Ahmad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GOMBAK, 22 October 2014: The ideas and thoughts of Malaysia&#8217;s former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, relating to the country&#8217;s policies on foreign affairs, economic and education became the subject of attention at the National Student Convention on <em>Pemikiran Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0 held at the Kulliyyah of Information, Communiction and Technology recently in conjunction with Convocation Festival 2014 (CONVEST&#8217;14).<\/p>\n<p>The Convention was participated by students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), International University Malaysia-Wales (IUMW), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), University of Malaya (UM), as well as the host, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).<\/p>\n<p>This programme was officiated by Political Secretary to the Minister of Education, Datuk Dr. Marzuki Mohamad.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of this Convention was to get a clear understanding of three main policies of Malaysia.
