Ampang, Selangor, 13 December 2025<\/strong> – \u2018Digital Parenting: Smart Online, Brighter Future,\u2019 an
event aims to raise awareness among parents and educators by promoting responsible digital engagement through effective monitoring of children\u2019s online activities organized by Communications\u2019 students, COMM 3318, Events & Campaigns, from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Keibubapaan Digital (KID) platform at Sekolah Islam Adni, Taman Sri Ukay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The event was officiated by Dr. Rizalawati Ismail, Head of Communications Department of
AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kuliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences
(AHAS KIRKHS) during the opening speech. This half-day event was attended by a total of 80
attendees including educators, guardians, and 22 pairs of parents together with their kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cDigital parenting is an essential discussion that should be paid more attention and brought to a
wider public as it is an emerging and concerning social issue involving our children particularly
in this digital age,\u201d urges Dr. Rizalawati Ismail in her speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u2018Digital Parenting: Smart Online, Brighter Future\u2019 underscore the vital message for parents,
educators, and guardians about the urgency in monitoring children\u2019 online activities and media
consumptions. This measure is significant in raising responsible and virtuous online users among
children in the current setting or in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The event was enlivened with an interactive practical sharing session, \u2018Parenting Zaman Digital:
Tak Perlu Pening, Pasti Ada Jalannya!,\u2019 and one forum with the topic of \u2018Bukan Sekadar Skrin:
Cara Ibubapa Kekal Terlibat dalam Dunia Digital Anak.\u2019 The guests and speakers for both
sessions were attended by interesting experts, educators, and well-known celebrity, Daler Yusuf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Key Highlights
\u25cf \u2018Parenting Zaman Digital: Tak Perlu Pening, Pasti Ada Jalannya!\u2019<\/strong>: This practical sharing session stressed on how the parents and guardians utilize technologies in monitoring their children\u2019s online activities with Coach Huda, Talent DNA Master Coach.
\u25cf \u2018Bukan Sekadar Skrin: Cara Ibubapa Kekal Terlibat dalam Dunia Digital Anak\u2019:<\/strong> A forum that discussed about how parents are also responsible for the children\u2019s online behaviour, digital activities, and media consumptions and what can they do in mitigating the negative impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Students\u2019 Poster Exhibition and exciting children\u2019s activities like colouring, puzzle, and origami were part of the attraction that occurred during the event in ensuring the children are also having fun during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Dr. Rizalawati Ismail
<\/strong>Dr. Rizalawati Ismail, Head of Department at the Department of Communication, International

studies. With a PhD from the University of Melbourne and a Master\u2019s in Corporate
Communication from Universiti Putra Malaysia, she specializes in media, culture, and society,
with a focus on audience identity, gender, and children\u2019s digital engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
