The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) through its Kulliyyah of Engineering successfully organised the IIUM Engineering Congress 2025 on 26 and 27 August 2025 in hybrid mode, bringing together academics, researchers, industry experts, and students from across the globe. The congress served as a platform to exchange knowledge, share research breakthroughs, and discuss future directions in engineering and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This annual event featured five major international conferencesunder one umbrella:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 2nd International Conference on Chemical Engineering & Sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 7th International Conference on Mechanical, Automotive and Aerospace Engineering <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 10th International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 7th International Conference on Engineering Professional Ethics and Education <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 7th International Conference on Mathematical Applications in Engineering <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hybrid format allowed participants to join either physically or virtually, making the congress more inclusive and attracting wider international participation. Researchers shared studies on topics such as green technologies, advanced materials, smart communications, aerospace, as well as issues of ethics and education in engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event reflected the Kulliyyah of Engineering\u2019s vision to be a global centre of innovative engineering education and research with values and professional ethics. Many discussions linking technical knowledge with sustainability and community wellbeing. Sessions on ethics and education highlighted the importance of producing holistic engineers who combine technical expertise with integrity and accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This approach is in line with IIUM\u2019s tawhidic epistemology, where knowledge is not separated from faith and values. Engineering, in this sense, is seen as a trust (amanah) to serve humanity and care for the environment. The congress provided a platform where scientific innovation could be discussed together with ethical considerations, showing how both can move forward hand in hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry partners, academics, and students took part in keynote talks, paper presentations, and networking sessions. The exchange of perspectives reflected how the congress can help build collaboration and open new directions for research and innovation at both local and international levels, while staying true to the values that define IIUM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
