Organized by IIUM Roboteam in collaboration with Makers@IIUM, the competition will be held on July 26\u201327, 2025 at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s theme, <em>\u201cInnovate. Reeducate. Collaborate,\u201d<\/em> captures the competition\u2019s goal of nurturing global robotics talent and encouraging knowledge exchange across borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nine Thrilling Categories Set the Stage for Innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IRC\u201925 spans a wide array of competitions that test creativity, precision, and engineering excellence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Autonomous Sumo 500g (Primary &amp; Secondary) \u2013 55 teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Autonomous Sumo 1kg (Primary &amp; Secondary) \u2013 122 teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Autonomous Sumo 3kg Magnetic (Open Category) \u2013 22 teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manual Sumo 500g Magnetic (Open Category) \u2013 94 teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creative Innovation (Primary &amp; Secondary) \u2013 38 teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drone Racing (Primary &amp; Secondary) \u2013 34 teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robot Soccer (Primary) \u2013 74 teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robot Soccer (Secondary) \u2013 39 teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time Rush (Primary &amp; Secondary) \u2013 49 teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These categories will take place over two days, challenging students and professionals to push the boundaries of autonomous and remote-controlled robotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Massive Growth and International Recognition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared to its predecessor, IRC\u201925 has seen a 206 percent increment in participation\u2014a testament to its growing reputation across Southeast Asia and beyond. The event has also gained approval from PAJSK (Pentaksiran Aktiviti Jasmani, Sukan dan Kokurikulum) andmaintains active collaboration with international robotics platforms like All Japan Robot-Sumo Tournament (ARJST) and ASEAN Robotic Day (ARD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About IIUM Roboteam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 2007, IIUM Roboteam is a pioneering student-led club under the Kulliyyah of Engineering at IIUM. It comprises over 60 active undergraduate, master\u2019s, and PhD students passionate about STEM and robotics. Beyond IRC, the club has participated in national and international platforms such as MA VEC, RBTX Challenge, ROBOCON, and UROCK.
