Dato&#8217; Sri (Dr.) Syed Hussein Bin Abd Kadir Al-Habshee, a Member of the Board of Governors had paid a special visit to the IIUMToday newsroom in the Human Sciences Building of IIUM Gombak on 10 April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was accompanied by Dean of AHAS KIRKHS, Prof. Dr. Shukran Bin Abd Rahman and Senior Deputy Director of AHAS KIRKHS, Madam Haslina Binti Shamsuddin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit provided an opportunity to explore the student-led operations of IIUM Today, the university\u2019s official campus news portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, as the Managing Editor of IIUM Today, I gave Dato\u2019 Sri Dr. Syed Hussein an inside look at how IIUM Today operates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The digital workflow of the newsroom from idea pitching and interviewing to writing, editing, and publishing articles was explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegation was also briefed on how IIUM Today nurtures student journalists through real-world practice in news writing, reporting ethics, and multimedia journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His appointment as the incoming Adjunct Professor, which will take place in May 2025, is expected to further strengthen the link between academic excellence and industry insight at AHAS KIRKHS.***<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By, Sarah Jamil GOMBAK, 13 April 2025: YBhg.
