On this significant day, the Center of Postgraduate Studies (CPS), in collaboration with the Postgraduate Student Society (PGSS)\u00a0and Kulliyah of Engineering (KOE)\u00a0organized a special\u00a0<em>Bubur Lambuk<\/em>\u00a0which\u00a0event\u00a0held\u00a0at the Kulliyyah of Engineering, aimed at strengthening the bond among postgraduate students, staff, and the wider IIUM community while embracing the values of Ramadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ramadan is not only a time of spiritual reflection and self-discipline but also a time of togetherness and generosity. The&nbsp;<em>Bubur Lambuk<\/em>&nbsp;program, a cherished tradition in Malaysia, symbolizes these values. The porridge, cooked with a blend of spices, meat, and coconut milk, is a well-loved dish often prepared in mosques and shared among the community. At IIUM, this initiative serves as more than just a culinary tradition\u2014it is a means of fostering engagement and camaraderie among students and staff alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For postgraduate students, balancing academic responsibilities with personal and spiritual commitments during Ramadan can be challenging. Events like these provide a much-needed moment of respite, allowing students to connect with one another beyond their studies. The\u00a0<em>Bubur Lambuk<\/em>\u00a0distribution was not just about sharing food but also about supporting one another in the postgraduate journey, which often involves managing coursework, research, and personal well-being. The initiative was well received, with many expressing appreciation for the warmth and generosity reflected in the event.
