GOMBAK, 20 November 2023: The President of the IIUM, Tan Sri Samsudin Osmans first ever visit to AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS), today (20 November 2023), was a success.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153We look forward to be guided by you and are honoured to have you here in our house,\u009d said the Dean of AHAS KIRKHS, Prof. Dr. Shukran Abdul Rahman in his Welcoming Remarks. He further informed the President of the Kulliyyahs structure and the Kulliyyah’s promises to the university.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153We see ourselves as a vessel carrying an intellectual community who forms the backbone of the IIUM; we portray a garden with fruits needed by the community,\u009d said Prof. Dr. Shukran.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tan Sri Samsudin, in his speech, mentioned that he had been wanting to visit the Kulliyah ever since his appointment last year and that he was mainly visiting to learn more about the Kulliyyah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153Universities that have been established for a long time tend to have a slight set back but I hope this does not happen to all of you and that you will continue to do well,\u009d said Tan Sri Samsudin.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before concluding his speech, Tan Sri Samsudin shared that he really likes the fact that the university offers courses on Islamic Revealed Knowledge (IRK), unlike other universities.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was also a Multimedia presentation on AHAS KIRKHS Projects such as The Gombak Project, Mosque Flagship, IMPaCT Flagship, Rahmah Flagship and The Gombak Riau Project. The President then proceeded to visit the Department of Psychology’s Psychology Clinic, the studios and newsroom of IIUM’s media vehicles under the purview of the Department of Communication, IIUM TV, IIUM FM and, IIUM Today and a visit to the Poster and Book Exhibition.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tan Sri Samsudin showed great enthusiasm and interest towards the Kulliyah when he visited the different places and asked many questions in his curiosity to know more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit was also attended by former IIUM Rector, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Syed Arabi Idid; IIUM Deputy Rector (Academic & Internationalisation), Prof. Dr. Ahmad Faris Ismail; Deputy Dean (Student Development and Community Engagement), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Noh Abdul Jalil; Deputy Dean (Postgraduate and\u00c2\u00a0Responsible Research\u00c2\u00a0& Innovation), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haslina Ibrahim; Deputy Dean (Academic and Internationalisation), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Datin Aini Maznina Abdul Manaf; Head of the Department of Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tengku Siti Aisha Tengku Azzman and other members of the Deanery. ***<\/p>\n\n\n\n
