{"id":173718,"date":"2023-05-07T04:02:20","date_gmt":"2023-05-07T04:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=173718"},"modified":"2023-05-07T10:16:11","modified_gmt":"2023-05-07T10:16:11","slug":"comm-festival-2023-iprmsa-iium-will-seize-the-opportunity-to-show-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=173718","title":{"rendered":"COMM FESTIVAL 2023: IPRMSA-IIUM to show up"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>By Aqilah Kamarzaman&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GOMBAK, 7 May 2023: The upcoming Communication Festival 2023 will kick off during the second-half of the semester and IPRMSA will not pass up the chance to be present, either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be more than 10 booths and vendors at the Communication Festival, including major organisations like MCMC and BERNAMA as well as local Communication groups.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To celebrate this year&#8217;s Communication Festival, IPRMSA is using the theme &#8220;PR as Community Influencers&#8221; and planning a number of fascinating events. IPRMSA has designed to offer the students a taste of the public relations industry with a variety of events, that include:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Link on LINKEDIN!&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In which IPRMSA will aid students in creating a LinkedIn account and a detailed guide to improving their profile so they may develop valuable professional connections.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>PR: Act it Out!&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of this exercise is to put students to the test in terms of their ability to conceptualise an effective yet manageable campaign. The task for the students is to design a public relations strategy for IPRMSA. They are provided a form on which to write the campaign&#8217;s name, slogan, and PR strategy. There will be monetary prizes and the best PR campaign will be used by IPRMSA<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Crisis Think Tank&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This exercise will see participants be given a list of well-known crises from the public relations field and they are asked to select one at random. Using their own discretion and ingenuity, the participants propose a solution to the situation.
