GOMBAK, 30 October 2022: The commencement of the new semester ushered the launching of AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS) festival, where students were given a chance to learn everything about the Kulliyyah has to offer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival, which has started on 27 October until 4th November 2022, is a combination of intellectual and sports festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the intellectual festival, ten secretariats under AHAS KIRKHS, such as the Secretariat of Communication Students (COSA), the Secretariat of Sociology & Anthropology (SOCASA), and many others, including IIUMToday, have opened up booths where students could engage in activities and socialise with people from various departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The festival was very lively; there were a lot of students from different Kulliyyahs, and also master’s students. Some students asked about our club as well,” said Muammar Hadi bin Marzuki, a representative from IIUMToday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among other booth exhibitions from all ten secretariats and collaborative events lined up throughout the festival were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Diverse Wall by SOCASAxHISTFORIUM<\/li>
  • Gallery Walk by ALAxELITS<\/li>
  • Self-Love Booth by COSAxPSYCSTA<\/li>
  • Gallery Walk (Luminaries of IRK) by SOFIxQUSSAxUDCY<\/li>
  • Ted Talk: Intellectual Activism by POSSA<\/li>
  • Breaking the Silo: Our Future as AHAS KIRKHS Students<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Meanwhile, the sports festival will contest all sports to allow students at AHAS KIRKHS to demonstrate their interest in sports while promoting healthy competition between secretariats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Students will witness competitions in netball, volleyball, e-games, football, basketball, badminton, and traditional games (Sukan rakyat).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The festival was officiated on 27 October 2022 by the Dean of AHAS KIRKHS, Prof. Dr. Shukran Abdul Rahman, at HS Square. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
