GOMBAK, 19 August 2020: The IIUM Convocation Award Ceremony for AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS) excellent graduates was held at the Banquet Hall, Muhammad Abdul-Rauf Building, yesterday.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was held in conjunction with the 36th and 37th IIUM Convocation Ceremony, and the awards were presented by the Dean of AHAS KIRKHS, Professor Dr. Shukran Bin Abd Rahman.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main awards for IIUM 36th Convocation of the Kulliyyah, Best Student (Academic) and Best Student (Co-curriculum), went to Puteri Mariam Diana Binti Ahmad Mosadik and Syamilah Heng Binti Kamal Koh respectively. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the other three main awards of the Kulliyyah, namely Best Overall Student, Best Student (Academic), and Best Student (Co-curriculum), went to Muhammad \u02dcAfif Jazli Bin Samion, Abdul Hakim Bin Suhaimi, and Muhammad Zulhilmi Bin Muhammad, the graduates of the 37th IIUM Convocation.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Dr. Shukran congratulated the parents for supporting their children and the graduates for their excellent achievements throughout their studies.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, he highlighted that the graduates should embed the mission of AHAS KIRKHS in their life to succeed in matters that are related to this world and hereafter and to maintain the principles that have been taught. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153Graduates should not forget to apply Islamisation in whatever youve pursued in life, whether youre in a Muslim or Non-Muslim country.\u009d
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153Remember all the approaches of knowledge that you have learned from us (lecturers). Protect and preserve the knowledge so you can contribute back to our society,\u009d he added. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He hoped the awardees would never forget their roots as IIUM alumni and always keep Islamic ideals in mind, especially during their anticipated difficult career years.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Best Student Hamka Award recipient, Muhammad Najmi Syahiran bin Mamat, a Communication graduate, said the Award was an honour to him and his family.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153The main thing is that I have made my mom proud because previously, she could not see me graduate in March 2022 as my family was tested positive for Covid-19,\u009d he said.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Najmi who currently works as a sub-editor for Free Malaysia Today (FMT) told IIUMToday that he is doing a Master’s of Art in Journalism in UiTM Shah Alam and is now in his final semester.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153Always trust your heart, most importantly in Allahs plan. After what youve been through, I guarantee that there will be sweet moments in your life,\u009d said Najmi.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, a psychology graduate, Muhammad \u02dcAfif Jazli bin Samion, expressed his honour in receiving the Best Student Award.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u02dcAfif, a Human Resource Management Trainee in one multinational consumer goods company, which produces health, hygiene, and nutrition products at Reckitt, advised everyone not to be discouraged by failure nor be blinded by success.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153There is always room for improvement. No matter what the challenges, always keep pushing forward because no matter the results, you will wake up with more experience the next day than the day before,\u009d he added.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kulliyah-level prize recipients received certificates of honour and AHAS KIRKHS Best Student trophies.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
