{"id":161839,"date":"2022-01-21T15:36:26","date_gmt":"2022-01-21T15:36:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=161839"},"modified":"2022-01-21T15:36:30","modified_gmt":"2022-01-21T15:36:30","slug":"temperature-check-will-no-longer-be-compulsory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=161839","title":{"rendered":"Temperature check will no longer be compulsory"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>By Syafiah Sakirin<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, 21 January 2022: The Ministry of Health has agreed to remove the mandatory temperature checks from the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) at public premises, Khairy Jamaluddin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This proposal will be brought to the weekly Quartet Ministers meeting and the National Security Council (NSC) for endorsement,&#8221; he told a press conference yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the Minister stated that individuals were still required to scan the MySejahtera app and show their vaccination certificates before entering shops and restaurants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Ministry also suggests that people switch on the MySejahtera bluetooth tracing feature for contact tracing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It is not mandatory but highly recommended. The feature will inform you if you are a casual contact.
