As 2021 is coming to an end, businesses and organisations worldwide are busy evaluating different metrics from the previous year to assess their performance and to determine the organisations direction for the upcoming year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, it is of utmost importance for organisations to pause and reminisce the meaningful history of the organisation through the celebration of business anniversaries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anniversaries are an integral aspect of life and should be honoured. The commemoration of anniversaries provides a golden opportunity for the organisation members to reflect on the events that helped build a company from the start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like birthday celebrations, business anniversaries inspire organisation members to reflect on what has worked well (and what hasn’t) for the organisation and apply those experiences and lessons learned into future planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\nother words, business anniversaries serve as a reminder of how far the\norganisation have come in terms of its success and triumph over the years.\nHence, celebrating a business anniversary is a way of remembering the past to\nhave a better and holistic understanding of the organisation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00c3\u00b8ren Kierkegaard, a famous philosopher, once said, \u0153Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.\u009d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether the organisation celebrates its first anniversary or approaching the century mark, a business anniversary is worth celebrating. It is an excellent occasion to express gratitude to employees for their hard work, recognise loyal customers, attract new ones, and garner media coverage for the achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At\nthe end of the day, business anniversaries do not simply represent the\norganisations incredible milestone alone, but it serves to elevate the morale\nin the workplace and strengthen the organisation’s presence in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TVS – A year older<\/strong> now<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A year ago, on 10 October 2020, TVS or TV Sarawak was officially launched as Malaysias first state-owned television channel in history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarawak,\nthe land of hornbills, became Malaysias first-ever state\nto establish its television channel<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nyear, TV Sarawak (TVS) is a year older. Theyre celebrating this momentous\noccasion by earning the plaudits of no less than Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri,\nTun Abdul Taib Mahmud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the slogan, \u0153We Inspire Your World\u009d, TVS, owned by Sarawak Media Group, is a linear television station with a wide range of television programmes, including news, sports, entertainment, lifestyle and Discover Sarawak.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TVS\ncan be viewed nationwide via Astro and myFreeview on channel 122.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TVS – Sarawaks transformation into a digital economy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many years, Sarawak is often stereotyped by outsiders as ‘backward and undeveloped due to the lack of modern and sophisticated development in many rural areas in the state. Despite being in the 20th<\/sup> century, some still perceived Sarawak as primitive, living on trees, hunting heads and using sampan daily. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\na Sarawakian myself, I experienced being asked, \u0153Do Sarawakians stay in a treehouse?\u009d\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It cannot be denied that the half-baked misconception of Sarawakians living up in the forest canopy was popular among Malayans until the previous decade. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With that being said, Sarawak being the pioneer state to establish its television channel signifies the digital advancement and development of the state, thus proving the notion of Sarawak as backward absurd.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed,\nthe existence of TVS is just the beginning of many more opportunities and\nsuccess for the state to mark in every part of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conjunction with the first anniversary of the television station, it is hoped that TVS will continue to flourish and be able to reach out to global audience in the future through diverse television programmes and shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TVS \u201d Pride of Sarawakians<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The establishment of TVS brings an abundance of happiness and pride to Sarawakians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TVS\nisnt just a platform for the community to get entertainment nor the latest national\nand worldwide news, but it is also a platform that promotes national\nintegration amongst the many ethnicities and cultures that need to be protected\nas the state progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Home to 27 ethnic groups, with 45 different dialects, each group has unique stories, beliefs, customs and cultures; Sarawak is rich in intangible cultural heritage. To name a few, oral traditions and expressions, performing arts, rituals, social activities, festivities, and traditional handicrafts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, TVS is the best platform for Sarawaks content creators, producers and performers to showcase the culture and heritage of Sarawak and simultaneously preserve the traditions for the future generation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Truly, TVS is the greatest gift for the people of Sarawak. The achievement represents a significant milestone in Sarawak’s history and a dream come true for all Sarawakians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
