GOMBAK, 24 December 2020: As of 11.00 am today, the Islamic Revealed Knowledge Students Society (IRKHSSS) received a total of 200 voters turning out in its first two hours of polling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the IRKHSSS Geeneral Election 20\/21 is the first online election, Vice Chairman of the Election Commission, Miqdam Nazmi told IIUMtoday that the verification process will be done for every two hours starting from 9.00 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0153For the verification process, firstly, we will crosscheck the students data with the data that we have from the kulliyyah.\u009d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the verification process, the election commission will determine the number of valid and void votes from the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the vote count process will start immediately at 5.00p.m starting with the final verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miqdam further explained that the vote counting will be done through Microsoft Excel with the formula generated by the Election Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of 11.00a.m, the voters turnout according to department are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Psychology – 18<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Political science – 22<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of History and Civilization – 20<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Communication – 9<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Sociology and Anthropology – 5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Arabic Language and Literature – 36<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of English Language and Literature – 17<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Fiqh and Usul Fiqh – 31<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Qur’an and Sunnah – 21<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Usuluddin and Comparative Religion \u201c 21<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miqdam urged for all KIRKHS students to vote before 5.00p.m today to choose their most trustworthy student representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
