{"id":143416,"date":"2020-10-09T22:12:11","date_gmt":"2020-10-09T22:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=143416"},"modified":"2020-10-09T22:12:14","modified_gmt":"2020-10-09T22:12:14","slug":"video-campaign-to-create-awareness-of-world-mental-health-day-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=143416","title":{"rendered":"Video campaign to create awareness of World Mental Health Day 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>By Haidah Halid<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GOMBAK, 10 October 2020: In conjunction with World Mental Health Day that is observed on 10 October every year, IIUM&#8217;s Secretariat of Psychology Students (PSYCSTA) is honouring the day with an awareness video campaign.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This years theme for the observance is \u0153Mental Health for All, Greater Investment &#8211; Greater Access.\u009d A matter that is suiting to the year 2020s unprecedented events, an occurrence that has affected us all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The societys objectives of the event are to increase awareness on mental health, contribute to World Mental Health Day 2020 commemoration, educate people regarding Islamic view of mental well-being for Muslims and to eliminate the stigma on mental health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With those objectives in mind, the society will post their World Mental Health Day 2020 awareness video campaign on their Instagram account @<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/psycstaiium\/\">psycstaiium<\/a> at 10 a.m on Saturday (10 October). The video will show highlighted parts in their interview with Dr. Jamilah and Dr. Inarah.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The society is targeting 1,000 views for their highlight reel video.
