{"id":125564,"date":"2018-10-17T10:40:59","date_gmt":"2018-10-17T02:40:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=125564"},"modified":"2018-10-17T12:05:06","modified_gmt":"2018-10-17T04:05:06","slug":"ultimate-frisbee-league-by-ictrex-first-time-and-a-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=125564","title":{"rendered":"Ultimate Frisbee League by ICTRex first time and a success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>By Nadhira Balqist Masran<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>GOMBAK, 17 October 2018: The Ultimate Frisbee League that took place for the first time last Saturday (13 October) at Padang Ali in campus here was indeed a success.<\/p>\n<p>Organised by ICTRex from Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT), the event was their first attempt for their annual Kulliyyah sports carnival.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, futsal was offered and it was a success due to many participants registering for the matches. This year, ICTRex wanted to try something new by organising a Frisbee League which have also attracted many people interested to join in.<\/p>\n<p>Asked why frisbee was chosen as the game, the event&#8217;s programme manager, Aliff Haikal bin Khairul responded: \u0153The Ulti Mustangs want to promote an awareness and ability to appreciate the aesthetic qualities of frisbee itself.\u009d<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-125569 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/DSC_0025-500x331.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/DSC_0025-500x331.jpg 500w, https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/DSC_0025-768x509.jpg 768w, https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/DSC_0025-1024x678.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He added, \u0153We want to unite IIUM community through sporting events and to use sports as a means to encourage competitiveness and sportsmanship among them.\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The league was divided into two categories &#8211; brothers and sisters.
