{"id":123405,"date":"2018-09-20T10:34:42","date_gmt":"2018-09-20T02:34:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=123405"},"modified":"2018-09-21T01:16:45","modified_gmt":"2018-09-20T17:16:45","slug":"reaction-youth-engaged-debate-syed-saddiq-impressed-with-youth-response","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=123405","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;RE:Action Youth Engaged&#8221; debate: Syed Saddiq impressed with youth response"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Syakir Nizam <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GOMBAK, 20 September 2018 \u201c Following a successful launching of the &#8220;RE:Action Youth Engaged&#8221; public debate series Tuesday night (18 September), the Minister of Youth and Sports, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman praised the youth for participating and joining the public debate.<\/p>\n<p>The debate held at International Cultural Centre (ICC) in IIUM campus here drew almost 2000 audiences.<\/p>\n<p>\u0153My opinion regarding the acceptance of audiences, I think most of them accept this programme in a good way. I can see the audiences have turned out beyond my expectation, it was full house and I am so happy with that,\u009d Saddiq told IIUMToday.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed the hope that this programme would give youth the exposure on current issues and directly involve the youth in implementing the policy of &#8220;Malaysia Baru&#8221; era.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, one of the audiences, Arman Iskandar, 22, said that this event will open the people to a wider range of discourse.
