GOMBAK, 12 July 2018: The “Teh\u00c2\u00a0Tarik” team consisting of five students from Kulliyyah of Architectural and Environmental Design (KAED) won the grand prize in the Pitch Your Product (PYP) IIUM River Innovation Competition for open category. They received RM2000 and certificates of participation.<\/p>\n

One of their teammates,\u00c2\u00a0Hiqmal Nurhakim Bin Roslizam said, “We were shocked and did not expect to win. Among the factors that contributed to this winning was cooperation among team members.”<\/p>\n

As their pitch project was focusing on usage of filter in the river to filter garbage, the team had hoped that their idea to save the IIUM river would be implemented by the authority in the future.<\/p>\n

In addition, for the school category, Sekolah Menengah Integrasi Sains Tahfiz Maiwp (SMISTA) was announced as the winner.\u00c2\u00a0 SMISTA was represented by\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Muhammad Danish Zairizam,\u00c2\u00a0M. Haziq Haikal Abdul Latif,\u00c2\u00a0Ahmad Ikhwan Hafidzi Hafez Faisal,\u00c2\u00a0Arif Najmi Sharul Mizan and\u00c2\u00a0Irfan Haqim Mohd Hafizal. They received RM300 and certificates.<\/p>\n

Pitch Your Product (PYP) IIUM River Innovation Competition was held on\u00c2\u00a024 April this year. As this competition was focusing on how to save the river, the participants needed to present their proposal paper and the prototype. The prize giving ceremony was officiated by Deputy Rector (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Rahmah Ahmad H. Osman. ***<\/p>\n
