{"id":118882,"date":"2017-12-08T16:10:04","date_gmt":"2017-12-08T08:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=118882"},"modified":"2017-12-08T18:51:04","modified_gmt":"2017-12-08T10:51:04","slug":"mahallah-zubair-three-times-overall-champion-of-iium-sports-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=118882","title":{"rendered":"Mahallah Zubair three times overall champion of IIUM Sports Carnival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Nadhira Balqist Masran<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GOMBAK, 8 December\u00c2\u00a02017: The IIUM Sports Carnival 2017 or ISC17 which commenced on 23 November ended last week (30 November) with a closing ceremony held at Sayyidina Hamzah Sports Complex. attended by fellows of Mahallah, lecturers and athletes<\/p>\n<p>Eleven sports were offered to the athletes in their respective Mahallah. Sixteen mahallahs competed for the title in the overall championship. There were two categories &#8211; Brothers and Sisters.<\/p>\n<p>Mahallah Zubair emerged as overall champion three times in a row. They dominated the medal tally with a total haul of six golds, three silvers and five bronzes in the Brother&#8217;s category.
