{"id":118023,"date":"2017-11-04T07:00:06","date_gmt":"2017-11-03T23:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=118023"},"modified":"2017-11-04T18:36:39","modified_gmt":"2017-11-04T10:36:39","slug":"iium-kuantan-open-day-an-initiative-to-engage-the-public","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=118023","title":{"rendered":"IIUM Kuantan Open Day an initiative to engage the public"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>By Izzati Sabri\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>KUANTAN, 4 November 2017 &#8211; As an initiative\u00c2\u00a0to engage members of the public with the university,\u00c2\u00a0IIUM Kuantan campus recently held its open day to promote its health services and facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The event known as the IIUM Kuantan Open Day (IKOD17) was held from 26 to 29 October. With a total of 550 committee members working to make this event happened, IKOD17 introduced\u00c2\u00a0new sub-programmes such as IKOD Fun and Games, IIUM Campus Tour, Ranggawijaya Playlet, and IKOD Nur Run, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Other programmes organised by the Kulliyyah of Science were Magnificent 7 and IKOD-IPOD Mega Fruit Fiesta. IKOD Showcase, which was previously known as &#8216;Inside-Out&#8217;, was rebranded to give the whole programme a new look.<\/p>\n<p>\u0153Bringing the theme of \u02dcWorld of Wonder (WOW), we hope that anyone who steps into IIUM Kuantan campus will obtain something valuable from this campus and leave with a &#8216;wow&#8217; impression,\u009d\u00c2\u00a0said\u00c2\u00a0the Programme Manager, Ahmad Arif bin Suhaili.<\/p>\n<p>He also admitted that more improvements can be made for future IKOD programmes, which have encouraging responses from the visitors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It could be better with a more detailed planning in certain areas and\u00c2\u00a0be held at another time of the year when it is not a monsoon season,&#8221; he said<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For me, one of the keys to the success of IKOD is the number of visitors.
