{"id":117428,"date":"2017-10-11T14:32:19","date_gmt":"2017-10-11T06:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=117428"},"modified":"2017-10-11T15:55:19","modified_gmt":"2017-10-11T07:55:19","slug":"business-expo-to-encourage-entrepreneurship-among-iium-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=117428","title":{"rendered":"Business expo to encourage entrepreneurship among IIUM students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Alya Nadiah<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GOMBAK, 11 October 2017: IIUM students who are running their own business in campus or are interested to be involved in business, have a good opportunity to demonstrate their entrepreneurship skills at the National Young Entrepreneurs Expo held at IIUM Business Compound, from 9 until 13 October.<\/p>\n<p>The event\u00c2\u00a0was an idea of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) to help produce more young entrepreneurs in an effort to develop the country in the future.\u00c2\u00a0The business exposition is held particularly to encourage those who are interested to venture into business and the world of entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<p>Other than providing theories and information on entrepreneurship, the event is aimed to\u00c2\u00a0help sharpen the skills of future entrepreneurs and to give them the necessary exposure to business management.<\/p>\n<p>\u0153This event is actually intended to inspire university students to be involved in business upon their graduation so that they would become more independent,\u009d said Public Relations assistant, Fatimah Farhana.<\/p>\n<p>\u0153It&#8217;s a precious opportunity for IIUM students to promote their business to the public as we have many visitors,\u009d she added.<\/p>\n<p>The expo offers various types of business such as foods and beverages, and clothing and shoes for visitors.
