Gombak, 17 February 2017: \u0153Behind the Veil of Syria\u009d was a successful programme which left several crucial advices for the audience to reflect on the\u00c2\u00a0ummah<\/em>s unity. The programme was organised\u00c2\u00a0by Al\u00c2\u00a0Aqsa Friend Society\u00c2\u00a0IIUM\u00c2\u00a0to let the people know the real situation in Syria.<\/p>\n

The programme held last night at\u00c2\u00a0Econs\u00c2\u00a0LT1 at Kulliyyah\u00c2\u00a0of Economics and Management Sciences started at 8p.m and ended at 10:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

There were two speakers at \u0153Behind the Veil of Syria\u009d talk. One was Mohammad\u00c2\u00a0Qutub, an\u00c2\u00a0IIUM\u00c2\u00a0student, who described the real condition of Syria that has been burning down from six years back till now.<\/p>\n

And the other prominent speaker was Assistant Professor Dr.\u00c2\u00a0Mohd\u00c2\u00a0Yazid\u00c2\u00a0Zol\u00c2\u00a0Kepli, from the Ahmad Ibrabim Kulliyyah\u00c2\u00a0of Law\u00c2\u00a0IIUM (AIKOL) who delivered a motivational speech for the audiences.<\/p>\n

The programme was to let the audience know about Syria besides giving a picture of the \u00c2\u00a0present position of our\u00c2\u00a0ummah\u00c2\u00a0and how to overcome it.<\/p>\n

Mohammad\u00c2\u00a0Qutub\u00c2\u00a0said, \u0153If we are not concerned about what is going on in Syria and some other countries, we cannot feel the sufferings they go through. We tend to skip them because we think they are not our countrymen!\u009d<\/p>\n

\u0153This is the time to raise our voice and do something what can really unite us as one ummah,” <\/em>he added.<\/p>\n

There was an impressive moment when Dr. Yazid\u00c2\u00a0brought his son and held him like\u00c2\u00a0Aylan\u00c2\u00a0Kurdi\u00c2\u00a0who fell on the shore after their boat sank on the river. He reminded the audiences of\u00c2\u00a0Aylan\u00c2\u00a0Kurdi\u00c2\u00a0and said “when I saw my son like this, I could feel the small boy who made the world shameful.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Yazid then asked a question to the audiences, \u0153We are a very forgetful community, what is the reason of our falling and what we should do to conquer it?\u009d<\/p>\n

Later he gave this answer, \u0153We should find our common interest that can bring us together and we should start it through\u00c2\u00a0IIUM\u00c2\u00a0community as we have diverse community from around the world.\u009d<\/p>\n

\u0153The first thing we have to take care is our solat (prayer), when we could have established the solat in our community it will surely lead us towards peace,\u009d he added. ***<\/p>\n
