GOMBAK, 17 February 2017: Mahallah Representative Council (MRC) of Mahallah Asma’ in collaboration with Block Representative Council (BRC) from all blocks recently organised an event called \u02dcAsma Mahabbah Week with the aim to strengthen the bond between Mahallah residents and trigger the interest of students to become entrepreneurs in future.<\/p>\n

The event was held at Mahallah Asma, IIUM Gombak, from 15 to 18 February 2017 from 2 p.m until 10 p.m.<\/p>\n

At the festival, there were 10 market vendors altogether. Various types of food and beverages were sold, mostly by young IIUM entrepreneurs and outsiders, which included sausage, bakso<\/em>, keropok lekor<\/em>, nasi lemak<\/em>, milkshake, coffee and ais kepal.<\/em><\/p>\n

Apart from that, there were more or less premium accessories like books, optic, perfume, gadget, cosmetic and some exclusive and pre-loved clothes and items traded by the vendors at this fete.<\/p>\n

Besides, there will be free bubur lambuk\u00c2\u00a0<\/em>for all people and residents of IIUM who come to the festival. Members of the campus community could also enjoy other activities on 18 February which is car management, indoor games, movie night, and most exciting activity is a barbecue session at 8 p.m until 11 p.m.<\/p>\n

Mahabbah week programme manager, Nurul Syifa Faiz said, \u0153I hope this Mahabbah festival will run smoothly and all the vendors will achieve their target to earn some funds from their sales.\u009d<\/p>\n

\u0153I believe this event will help the students to trigger their interest in business and all community of Mahallah Asma will gain some benefits and fun from this event,\u009d she said.<\/p>\n

Nurul Jannah Abdullah, a young IIUM entrepreneur and a student from Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences said, \u0153I gained a lot of benefits from this event, and with just a small amount of rental, I could sell my items here.\u009d<\/p>\n

\u0153I truly enjoy myself buying at this festival because I could throw a cold drink in this hot weather to help me beat the heat weather condition by keeping myself fresh,\u009d said Syakila Ismail, a third year student from the Department of Human Sciences and also one of the residents of Mahallah Asma.<\/p>\n

\u0153So, its really good to seize this opportunity to be the first to taste the marvellous food or whatever else with the best prizes available at this festival and enjoy all the fun activities here.\u009d ***<\/p>\n
