{"id":109865,"date":"2016-10-12T10:00:06","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T02:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=109865"},"modified":"2016-10-11T19:36:25","modified_gmt":"2016-10-11T11:36:25","slug":"maal-hijrah-debate-2016-iium-b-emerged-champion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=109865","title":{"rendered":"Maal Hijrah Debate 2016: IIUM B emerged champion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><b>By Syakir Nizam<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p>GOMBAK, 12 October 2016 \u201c International Islamic University Malaysia\u00c2\u00a0 B ( IIUM B) \u00c2\u00a0and \u00c2\u00a0Mahaad Tahfiz Negeri Pahang emerged as champions in the university category and the school category respectively in the Grand Final IIUM Open Maal Hijrah \u00c2\u00a0Debate Championship 2016.<\/p>\n<p>For the university category, with the final motion, \u0153This House Believes Overthrow of Assad Regime is The Solution for Syrian Crisis\u009d, IIUM, \u00c2\u00a0as the opposition side, won after beating International Islamic University Malaysia A (IIUM A) with the juries (6-1). \u00c2\u00a0Muhammad Ikmal from IIUM B was announced as the best speaker for final round.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, in the school category, on the final motion, &#8220;This House Believes The Establishment of School Court is Important&#8221;, Maahad Tahfiz Negeri Pahang \u00c2\u00a0was crowned as the champion after beating SMKA Putrajaya \u00c2\u00a0with the juries ( 5- 2).
