{"id":105310,"date":"2016-03-02T10:00:28","date_gmt":"2016-03-02T02:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=105310"},"modified":"2016-03-02T09:16:12","modified_gmt":"2016-03-02T01:16:12","slug":"women-who-are-willing-to-spend-on-make-up-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.iium.edu.my\/?p=105310","title":{"rendered":"Women who are willing to spend on make-up products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Azra Farzana Shuib<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, 26 February 2016: High-end make-up products that are widely advertised on the Internet and easily available in the market have greatly impacted on womens expenses.<\/p>\n<p>A recent visit to Sephora KLCC revealed that women, regardless of their background, are willing to spend hundreds of Ringgit just to buy make-up products.<\/p>\n<p>One customer, Nurul, 35, commented on her expenses for make-ups, \u0153I would spend an average of RM200 to RM300 for make-up products.\u009d<\/p>\n<p>A customer who refused to reveal her name also admitted that she had once spent more than RM1000 in Sephora, and she is not even a make-up artist, or a person whose career necessitates very attractive looks.<\/p>\n<p>\u0153Its just a hobby,\u009d she said. \u0153But I did not cry after that, maybe a little sad because my moneys gone, but I am fine. After all, I love make-up.\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u0153My average spending is RM300, and the highest amount I have spent is RM600 on a single receipt.\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Another customer, Siti Sarah Saiful, 22, who is still a student when asked how much she would spend disclosed, \u0153I only go to Sephora sometimes, but I always go to MAC store,\u009d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Siti Sarah is also a frequent visitor. She would visit make-up stores at least once a month. When asked whether or not she has any regret after spending so much, she answered, \u0153No. On a scale of 1 to 10, my love for make-up products is rated 9.\u009d<\/p>\n<p>However, not all women would indulge in expensive make-up products. Nurul Fariza, 22, said that she would never spend more than RM100 for make-up products.<\/p>\n<p>\u0153I would buy make-up, but RM100 at most.
