GOMBAK, 1 October 2015: The 25th anniversary celebration of the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) begins today.
Organised by KIRKHS in collaboration with IRKHS Students’ Society, the main objective of this celebration is to commemorate the Kulliyyah’s establishment and achievements from 1990 until today.
Prof. Dr. Ibrahim in his early remarks said, “The celebration is meant to showcase the Kulliyyah’s history, present and future directions. However, it is not only meant to remember the past and cherish its achievements but it is also to make its students at the centre of attention, and hopefully, this carnival will bring benefits to all and create a memorable moment for the Kulliyyah.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akmal Khuzairy Abd Rahman, Chairman of the KIRKHS 25th Anniversary Carnival said, “This is the biggest event organised by KIRKHS to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We are very proud because this programme received undivided support from our students, staffs and alumni.”
“It’s a good opportunity for our Kulliyyah and students to showcase our tradition and achievements throughout the years, so we know where we’re heading in the future,” said Dr. Tengku Siti Aisha.
Among the events held throughout the first day were K-Ummah public forums “Hadith palsu: Faktor & Kesannya Terhadap Agama dan masyarakat,” “Al-Ubudiyyah: Hakikat Sebenar Pengabdian Seorang Hamba,” and many more.
Besides, other events in conjunction with the celebration are video and essay competition, and Career Assessment & Employability Seminar.
