Why is Malacca regressing?

COMMITMENT, on the part of both the smoker and the authorities, is the only way smoking, a dangerous habit, can be eliminated. It requires steadfastness; an obligation that is aware of its dangers to the non-smoking public. This in no way infers that the smoker is not the primary concern, but given the individual will that determines action, unless duty to others plays a role, it is difficult to see the addicted smoker giving up his or her addiction voluntarily. As such, it is a generally received solution that the habit be broken by not facilitating it, hence the no-smoking zones that are ever increasing throughout the country. And, too, the taxation imposed making the habit more expensive with time, as governments seek to intervene by being more invasive on the pocket books. Despite this, however, statistics show that the addiction continues with every generation and gender barriers are being broken down.
