LET it not be misunderstood that a patriot is born and not made. On the contrary, it is only after an individual has been made a patriot that we say that a patriot is born. It is the individuals inner feeling of being wanted and accepted in a larger family, and being recognised without fear or favour, that he or she decides to make sacrifices, and be loyal and patriotic, not only as a gesture of appreciation, but because of the feel-good factor.
