KUDOS to Tan Sri Dr Sulaiman Mahbobs comment on pensioners (œThe plight of our pensioners ” NST, Aug 20). It is timely and I am sure that all pensioners appreciate him for bringing up their plight. Pensioners need to be able to meet the rising cost of living ” notwithstanding, of course, those senior government officers and politicians who are re-employed as chairmen of government-linked companies, corporations, boards and institutions for many years after retirement and so can earn a higher salary plus pension.
