KUALA LUMPUR, 17 August 2015: The value of news is still in the quality of the content where most readers will look into the credibility of the news, said Datuk Seri Azman Ujang, a veteran journalist of 37 years.
He said the emergence of the new media has changed the landscape of the mainstream media itself.
“Currently, there are so many sources of news and media organisations are facing stiff competition,”  he told a talk on ‘Analytical Approach in News Writing’ organised by the national news agency BERNAMA today. The talk was attended by some 35 participants from Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR) and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
Datuk Seri Azman advised young journalists, particularly those who are new to the field, to develop their writing skills, to be more creative, to carry out research on any particular subject or issue, and to come early for any press conference.***
