Words can affect your brain profoundly

WHEN learnings hard it is worth reflecting on what learning is. Some language teachers prefer to teach in meaningful chunks, relating what is taught immediately to what the lesson is applicable for, like saying hello to a person you meet in the street. Grammar can be postponed till later as you go along but the lesson must feed the student at all levels, feeling, relating, doing, enjoyment of what there is to do. œHello, how are you? œWhat is your name? That way of giving meaning to learning sticks to you better than postponing the purpose of it until youve mastered the grammar.
