THE statement by Datuk Ab Rahim Md Noor, chief executive officer of the Solid Waste And Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp), a few days ago, is a timely yet shameful reminder for many Malaysians during this fasting month. Yet, his revelation that on average 9,000 tonnes of food are wasted every day during Ramadan is hardly shocking.
