Rupa DamodaranSUBANG JAYA: National carmaker Proton Holdings Bhd will be making its foray into the compact car segment.Together with DRB-Hicom Bhd it has inked a long term partnership with an MOU with Suzuki Motor Corp.The collaboration encompasses four main areas which are products, technology, people and markets.It would allow Proton to have access to the moodels. Platforms, powertrain and automotive technology of Suzuki.Proton chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the collaboration will firm up in 2016.
