II REFER to your report, "Maid pay increase irrelevant" (NST, May 31), and based on all available evidence, it cannot possibly support such a statement. In fact, paying a maid RM1,200 a month is still a puny amount, and both maid and employer who settle for such an amount are in for a very short-lived contract.
