THE police operation carried out between May 11 to May 23 that unearthed 139 graves and 28 suspected human trafficking camps on our side of the Malaysia-Thai border indicates that we, as Malaysians and the authorities, are lackadaisical in carrying out our responsibilities. These human trafficking activities have been going on for years, despite warnings from non-governmental organisations.
